Man ray has his on style of his work for instance in all his light painting are in black and white which is very original because most light painting are in colour, He was helped by Picasso as you can see he is mostly in all of his photo's. One thing i like about man ray is in all his photo's/light paintings are all in focus so it is hard to make a light painting with the rule of thirds.
My Favourite image of man ray is the one of Picasso and a body shape around him because its very central and brings out Picasso's face more and brights up the photo instead of black and white, there is a triangle formed in this photo (from the head to both of the shoulders. One question i would love you ask man-ray is why were all your photo's in black and white? also why was Picasso in most of your photo's? |

Gjon MiliGjon Mili was born on November 28, 1904 – Died on February 14, 1984, He was born in Albania and moved to the United Estates in 1923. Most light painters are very must the same but Gjon Seems to focus on Ballet Dancing But he makes them unique, the composition is very central and quit distant and he takes it at the right time there is no blur and it is all in focus.
my favorite Photo of his is the James bond light painting, Because its very different like more effects and stands out, there is no rule of thirds because there is no specific Place to look at because there is 3 different postures of the same man but at different angles. Also it looks like a futuristic Photo for the future because of the mist or white effect. |

Frank GilbrethFrank Gilbreth center his work more on his daily life for instance There are light paintings of him cooking and working on things but i looks to be Picasso that is one thing that light painters have in common.
My favorite photo By Frank is the one with the most light drawing because it looks like a sort of insect and then in the distance you see a figure. The composition is alright it isn't the best, i think he should of took it more to the left to be honest. There is no rule of third and there is a few triangles there also the focus of this photo is strange some of it isn't but most of it is. The photo looks very old and mysterious like his is in a factory, i think this because of the bricks and looks to be a machine in the distance. |
Our Class LightPaintingSome of the images Have a good composition and some had a bad composition, The arrangement of the photo's are quite obstruct and slightly not central (except a couple). The setting i used was F4 so it didn't give out to much light or to much darkness. The images are very colourful and stand out, There very different to each other because some are in focus and some are out of focus. If i had to do it again i would change it to F5-6 because i think there is to much light. |

Group Light PaintingWe took this photo's over a period of lessons these past couple of weeks featuring light painting and drawing and we have researched and getting the understanding and confident with the ISO/Aperture/shutter speed.
This is my favourite photo because it features a variety of colourful colours, the photo is centred in the middle so it does have a rule of thirds. the composition could of been
