We were given a project were we had to take photo's of each other with the right 'Aperture' and also the right 'Lighting. We all had jobs (Camera Person,Lighting, Model and The Director). In this project we took various amount of posses. I worked in a group with three other people and we tried to use the least amount of light to extract the shadow from the image which we succeeded in most images. One thing that i wish we had done which might of improved some of our images would of been planing what we were going to do. However i think it went well anyway, i got a lot of experience with using the lighting and demonstrating how to direct the position of the model which was quite interesting because you had to be independent and make a good image.
Edward Weston
Edward Weston was an 20th Century American Photographer - (Born March,24,1886 and Died January,1,1958) he was know for his 'Picotrial style' images, The photo's he was know to take were including landscapes, still life, nudes, portraits, genre scenes and even whimsical parodies. His Images give and emotional style for example most of images feature to be 'black and white' I think his style of photography is quite unique because he takes the most surrealist images for example the two peppers/chilli's, When i first looked at his image i thought it was model of tonsils, but when you look closely you see the details and the composition of the photo and you realise what the image is.

Elliot Erwitt
Elliott Erwitt is An advertising and documentary photographer known for his black and white candid shots of ironic and absurd situations within everyday settings. He was born in france in the 20th century. He takes a variety of different images from Animals to people and even a mix of both of them. I think the black and the white gives the images a affect which it wouldn't if they were in colour, because it gives the image emotion and sadness; however the image is most probably a positive and productive image for example the photo of the person in the Army uniform, the dust gives the image an out of focus effect.

I took these photo's on my weekend to Oxley's wood with my family. The project was to take 3 photo's of light and dark exposed. My favourite image of the images, i took is the one with the moss on the floor and then you have the sun reflecting off the floor on to the moss which gives a glow effect which i really like. I used the Toy Effect with this image. I like the main focus of the moss because its gives a sort of rule of thirds, as you have a triangle pattern in between the moss and the grass which gives a nice reflection in between. I like the light as it gives out a nice sun ray over part of the image which i really like. I would like to improve these images by doing the following: I would chose a different effect to use on the images such as ( fisheye lens or iPhone apps which would help me with my experimentation in my work and my final evaluation)
Tom Hunter
Tom Hunter is an award winning and internationally acclaimed artist. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in major solo and group shows, most recently: Seduced by Art, National Gallery, UK. In this photo it is focused on the man presumingly looking at the object, and the women and the rest of the image is out of focus a bit, However the composition of this photo is really good but if he showed the other mans face it would give an effect of the rule of thirds between the three people.

Victoria Siemer
Victoria Siemer, Her work has really inspired me. I looked through a range of artist and there work and her work stood out to me. She makes her work look 3D with the effect of reflection. The contrast makes the image i think between the The sun light breaking through the trees to the glimmering wood and then the reflection just makes the image look more surreal. The light and darkness is quite inspiring as its like a hole decaying in, The image gets lighter going to the centre and darker to the edge. Also the texture of the wood looks real as its in between the reflection. The colour is key in this image as there is a contrast between the lights of green and black were there is light green were the sun is coming through and then the dark circles the light.

My First Piece #1I found this task quite hard because in between the time frame that we had to take these few images it was light and sunny, I didn't really want to use effects which i used last time you used the objects position and tried to find its shadow and these images were my first attempt. I think some went well however some were to exposed to light than others. I look at these images and then compare them to last set of images and there isn't a lot of light its just dark and this time i got more light than dark so i think i need to try get a range of light and dark in my next set of images.

My First Piece #2These are a range of images that i took on a 2 day experience which i did where i just walked around and took images. I look at these images and i just think of the improvements that need to be made, because we i took these i didn't really stop and think i just took images with out thinking

Anna Cárdenas
|
Anna Cárdenas, I like her a lot as the contrast between most of her pictures are very inspirational, I like the Fireworks in one of her pictures because the spoke of them blends the people at the front in there posture is hidden in a sense. Also the rule of thirds apply's in this photo from the fireworks to the people, the contrast of the light is amazing as it brings a sense of happiness and was eye catching as i chose that photo out of a bundle of image. When i start to take images i am going to use the grass scenery to my advantage

Fay GodwinFay Godwin (17 February 1931 – 27 May 2005) was a British photographer known for her black-and-white landscapes of the British countryside and coast. I really like this photo because i like landscape images especially in black white because it gives a emotion of focus. The focus is the sharpness or clarity of subjects in the photographic image. Soft focus is created when Fay Godwin manipulates the camera to achieve blurry, gentle edges. The angle of view is the position from where the photographer took the picture. A photographer can point the camera from below, above, or straight at an object. The texture is shown by how the light falls on the field which changes the aperture and the composition.

Trent ParkThis is an image taken by Trent Park. This image also shows chiaroscuro well because the man in the middle is the brightest part of the whole image. You can clearly see the contrast of the the light and dark areas. I think that the man could be standing where an open doorway was on a sunny day. Even though the background isn't completely dark, the image still looks good because there are many different tones in it.

What do i use?How i edit my images: I either use Photoshop or PicMonkey,I like to use these both because they give you a broad range of utensils and effects that you can use on your work photography work. The main effect that i like to use on photoshop is The Burn and blur effect because it really changes my work to become more of a master piece than an actual image that i have took for no apparent reason, it gives it more of a purpose. Also its really good to experiment and get new ideas to express your photography skills and also up your grade to your full potential. Also i like to use PicMonkey which is fantastic because you can literally do anything to your image, i also love using the website because it is fantastic for double exposure. As you can see in these images on the right you can see images which i am perfecting for my final pieces.

My Final Pieces!
All of these photos were taken in Oxley's Wood, i took these images through my Half term which i normally do because i take photography seriously like a hobby which i want to do in later life! I took this photos on a Iphone 5s and a Cannon Bridge Camera. Most of these images i have used Photoshop to edit these ( I used a burn and Smudge tool ) These images have inspired me to work more on contrast. At the end of my project i had 3 pieces of work with 2 images included in them. I think that this project has had some good and bad moments i mean like i have took loads of images, however i have had a lot of mistakes in my image were i have to improve and prefect my images. As i am typing this i am wondering on the grade that i will achieve after this Exam as i aiming for a B or over which will be a massive success. The first set of images i had were my favourite as i paired them together straight away as i really like them images so i planned what the similarities and the differences were. Also when i went out to take images before hand i planned it all on Popplet then i put all my ideas into a range of 100 to 140 images and i sorted them out and chose 20 to keep so i keep the best ones. Then i sorted them out into groups
